Cricket is guarding the treats

Thank you to Rachel Sheppard at mykidhaspaws.org for the treats and bows! Butterfly let Cricket have first shot at opening the present, but now they are both sleeping next to their treats.

  1. Chienne would never give up until she had ripped that packet open. I love her to bits but she does tend to be a tad greedy and will pinch off the Man if she can :o)

    • Cricket tends to leave the hard work to me. If the treats were already free from their trappings, she would elbow Butterfly out of the way, and if the bag were empty she would carry it around and stick her face in it for days. But work? Nah.

  3. It must have been a holiday din-din. After dinner, I’m always on the prowl for more. At holidays, I get close to half what i really want and know I’m not going to get anymore.which is better than my normal meager gruel I know that for the next two weeks, I don’t get to step out of my no-fat (vet prescribed) diet. Mucho bummer. If you get enough on a holiday-the best strategy is to fall asleep on the couch. He does. Then She does. Follow the leader.

    • Cricket waits until everyone else is asleep and then trolls for snacks in the dark. She only believes in sleeping when there’s no special food left at all, and then she can sleep for days.

  6. Bless. Ours herds you to the doggy cupboard and her hints for treats are as subtle as a tank! Then she takes said treat to bed, lovingly tucks it in, and shows us what she’s done.
