Butterfly died at six thirty this morning. She has taught me so many things, and now one more: life is fragile, well-being is fragile, but love is the strongest substance there is.
I loved you with all my heart Miss Butterfly, and I always will.

It was hard for me to read this post–very hard because I have felt much of the same pain this year. I lost five of my babies–Velvet, BB, Stretch, Valley Girl, and Honey–within the first 6 months of this year. All but one were over 14 years old when they passed away. Love is an emotion that doesn’t care how many legs its object has. I know you love (not past tense) Butterly. That love will never leave you.
